Mobile Field Shelters/Stables

Our Mobile field shelters come with a heavy steel skid frame, and also wooden skids which spreads the load evenly across wider surfaces giving greater weight distribution and improved mobility. The unit is towed securely by metal or wooden structure, allowing easy movement between paddocks/fields. (Maximum size is 24 x 12, due to towing purposes)

Mobile Field Shelter/Stable Specifications

Wall Construction: 3 x 2 Framework spaced at 600mm (2ft) centres.

Cladding: 6" (150mm) shiplap from selected timber.

All timbers are vac treated with clear treatment and all cladding is tanalised in brown or tanalith in green which is a maintenance free. Unlike brush-on products that have to be re-applied regularly, pressure treated timber requires no further maintenance to top up its preservative properties.

Roofing Construction: 4 x 2 roof purlins. Onduline roofing in black fitted as standard - Onduline roofing sheets have a 15 year guarantee and are maintenance free. Optional roof finishes, available on request.

Stable Doors: 82" (2083mm) high x 48" (1200mm) wide x 2/3" thick. Bottom doors are lined, bottom doors have a galvanised chew strip, heavy duty kickbolts, cabin hooks, brent bolt and heavy duty T-hinges. Top Doors have cabin hooks and brent bolt (Stables only)

Windows: Fully opening window as standard with galvanised mesh on the inside.(Stables only)

Height: 2.1 metres to eaves. 3.0 metres to Ridge.

Opening: All standard field shelters have 72" (1800mm) wide openings. (Optional)

Kickboards: 1/2" (12mm) OS Board is fitted to 4' (1200mm) on main framing, horizontal stud work inserted between framing prevents objects falling behind kickboards.

Full Chew Strips: Can be fitted on the openings of field shelters.

Overhang: Overhangs are 3ft as standard on 12ft stables/shelters and 2ft on 10ft stables/shelters.

Guttering: Can be fitted as an optional extra.

Talk Grills: Talk grills can be fitted at an optional extra.

Metal Skid/Wooden Skid:  Full metal or Wooden skid is used on mobile units, which can be towed from either end.
